"Maritime Business Forum"

On July 27, "Maritime Business Forum" was held at the Radisson Blu Batumi Hotel.
Head of BHMES Anri Vocational Education Department David Chkhaidze and Public Relations Manager Anna Mushambadze participated in the forum.
The purpose of the forum was to promote Georgia as a maritime country, assess the role of Georgia in the international labor market for employment in the maritime sector, discuss the problems of the maritime labor market and ways to solve them.

Part of the event was dedicated to the conference and panel discussions, where Georgian and foreign experts discussed topical issues for the maritime sector - "Education and Employment in the Maritime Sector.
Challenges and Prospects", "Digitalization of the Blue (Maritime) Economy.
Challenges, gaps and opportunities", "Problems of environmental protection - pollution
sources and alternative resources".

B2B meetings were also held - in a designated room, ship owners/management companies, local recruiters and educational institutions discussed possibilities for future cooperation.

"Maritime Business Forum" was organized by the Education and Employment Development Center (EDEC) in cooperation with the Employment Agency of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara and Batumi Shipping within the framework of the EU-funded project "Learning, Learning, Linking and Linking. for Employment!" (Learn for Employment! LEARN) in partnership with a training university.
