On December 29, employees and cadets of the Batumi High Maritime Engineering School underwent routine fire drills and briefings.

An evacuation alarm was activated in the school building, and all elements of the building's fire protection system were checked for proper operation, and those in the building, observing all the rules, left the building through the evacuation stairs.
